Re-covered the center arm rest..

Hi all,I wanted to put this in here to show it's not that difficult.... This ISN'T for my Vibe, though I plan on doing it soon... The interior is so hard, my elbows always hurt after long trips... I don't have pics of the process, dor some reason I didn't take any, odd for me... But I did remove the stock vinyl, applied a 1/8" thick closed cell foam (Second Skin Audio "Overkill" to be exact) and then fresh vinyl... I didn't notice till after it was done, that there was a line PRESSED into the foam, which came through in the vinyl... MMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM soft.... This is the only way to fly when doing trim work too... Enjoy..

nice work. i've been wanting to get this done on my vibe. i got a quote for $150 which was kinda expensive so i haven't gotten it done yet looks simple...just wrap the vinyl over the foam and glue it to the under part of the armrest?

Yep, it's super simple... The GLUE makes a big difference though... Rattle can spray glue never has stayed stuck for me... This stuff.. well, I don't know if I would ever get it UN-stuck...

i used rattle can glue when i did mine. worked fine

maybe a dumb question, but where do you get the supplies (vinyl, glue and sprayer).Never considered this, but I hate the way my elbow feels after a long drive

Vinyl and glue can be had on the innanetz or upholstery shop... (though, that particular DAP product isn't the easiest to find) The gun is just a paint gun.. That one is decent, mighta cost 40$ back in the day, I can't tell you how many years old it might be...lol..Thing about working vinyl, is having it WARM when you do it... make life a lot easier and more pliable.. lol... sitting it out in the sin for a few, or under a heat lamp, or using a hair drier..
