Wipers Noisy

I don't know if it is just me or the fact that time and use has made my wipers noisier. This isn't the squeak of a rubber blade on dry glass nor is it the wiper blade itself for I've replaced the entire blade. This noise seems ti be a "clunk clunk" of the mechanism as it wipes back and forth.Anyone else have this and what did you do to fix it? It sounds like a loose or worn linkage piece.BTW this is a 2007 with 52,000 miles on it.ThanksDave
