I liked it. One thing that I was impressed with was that looking back I realized that the aliens were done so well I never thought about them being cg. Before long they won't need actors to make movies.

Saw it and love it --- its probably one of a few movies where I didn't look at my watch to see how much longer it was Quote, originally posted by joatmon »One thing that I was impressed with was that looking back I realized that the aliens were done so well I never thought about them being cg. I thought it was great... It really had more to it than the typical alien shoot'em up flick... There was a STRONG political agenda under it's skin.. lol.. AFA CGI, they where all CGI but they used a lot of different actors doing "motion capture" to get the body language from the main players.. Like in Beowulf, all CGI, but all motion capture as well, so the actors where still acting, they where just acting in a wire frame environment..

i thought it was ok. didn't like most of the political agenda stuff they were doing. i would like to think that if something like that did happen that after 20 years the alien population would be more integrated in our populations throughout the world. and i would also hope that the south african government wouldn't be in control but instead the UN. also, if there are many groups out there protecting animals and sometimes giving animals more rights than humans, i would hope that groups would be formed to give rights of the aliens. maybe i'm still naive about the human race.action was cool though. i love mecha so when that suit powered up i was giddy.
