i guess we'll see, I'd love to see the vikings have a great season, but I've never really been a huge fan of football... if I catch a game, great, if not no big deal.

So your seriously pumped and psyched about getting a twice retired has been QB? I use the term lightly though as he was good once...when he played for GB. The man was not impressive on the Jets, saw him in person fail at the stadium. He then goes BACK into retirement and SWEARS he won't come back. Then today find out he is at Vikings camp. How about you guys let some other QBs get a chance to be good instead of recycling the trash. He is loathed in Green Bay, as well as many other places. It will be funny to hear about the end of his career and how it will be remember that he jumped teams and popped out of retirement over and over fairly washed up. I guess Wrangler Jeans are'nt payin the bills anymore.GO GIANTS! (that is all)

He'll be too hurt by the 4th game he starts to make much of a difference for the Vikes...Also, he's got to be rusty as he's missed much of the preseason...even though he knows the offense. I've also heard from those interviewed on the Sirius NFL channel that he's not any support to others in the locker room. this may be a case of "be careful what you wish for". But what do I know, I"m a Ram's fan

Woulnd't that go backwards then, lol. They would take $4,500 away from each person on the teams salary (coaches and assistants included), to put towards Favre's bloated pay.

farve did great for the jets...the jets just suck at the offensive line...among other things..ha just wait this will be a fun season.

Brett needs to stop retiring. GIVE IT UP! He was a great player, but the more that he retires, the less I respect him and the more annoying he gets. I'm sick of hearing of all the b.s. about Farve and all the hype around him. Roger Clemons did the same thing. I remember watching Roger walking off the field for his last game with the Yankees in the World Series. I felt like it was the end of an era and that MLB lost a great player. After he retired and then came back and then retired and then came back and then retired and then came back and then retired and then got caught up with the steroid crap. Brett is a first-ballot hall of famer, regardless of how this season or maybe the next season and the next. He has had a great career, but needs to make up his mind and stop going back on his decision.

I always liked favrah. Never cared for the Vikings before but will watch their games when I can now.Still, the vikings will never replace the Steelers and Ravens at the top of my list.

Brett played well for the Jets before he tore his biceps tendon. After that, not so much. I don’t begrudge him his right to earn a living, & I will, selfishly, enjoy watching him play again, but I can never, ever, root for the Vikings. Go Packers!
Brett the true mercenary

Brett is a true mercenary of his sport...but I guess that's the way it is in pro sports now...How can the pro sports folks expect us to be loyal fans when neither the players or owners are loyal....I haven't gone out of my way to watch a game for a few years now. I used to be a Ram's season ticket holder but I got so sick of being bombarded by the ads at the game I didn't renew. GLad I got all that off my chest

ESPN NEWS:"Also on Wednesday, Favre told reporters he may not be able to play all 16 games with the Vikings this season. The biceps tendon was surgically repaired, but he's playing with a torn rotator cuff and he recently suggested he might have a cracked rib."

i'm looking forward to the overhyped MNF game next week, vikings at packers. And congratulations to you Lions fans (even those who are too embarrassed to admit it) I work near DC, and the Redskins breaking the Lion's losing streak has totally crushed the Redskin fan base, they are in misery over it, so good for you! How 'bout them Ravens?

lol, i actually chose the Lions over the Redskins in my Survival football league. Even though the Redskins aren't doing anything this year, it was still risky simply bc it was the Lions lol

4-0 BABY!!! How do you like us now!!!!! Rogers was sacked 8 times (4-1/2 by Jared Allen) Vikes run defense was awesome. Ryan wasn't able to do squat. Peterson wasn't that much better but scored 1 TD and Favre added to it by passing for 3 TD's. LOL at the Pack challenging a goal line call that said Rogers was down on the field at the 1 yard line, only to have it backfire on them to end up giving a Safety to the Vikes. Next week should be an easy win based on the numbers, but playing against a winless teams always scares me as they have nothing to lose (except the game of course...lol). So the Vikes can't take them too lightly and think it is going to be a cake walk.

the game was good till the second half....but to only lose by a touchdown says something for a QB starting his 21 game v.s. Favre. your Defense is a killer thats for sure. I think the pack has to re-evaluate Barbe, and with Clifton out. enough said. Congrats! but don't let that head get too big we have a few more games to go. lol so next time I see you I'll buy you one.

Well, well...lookie who's going to the NFC Championship after crushing the Cowgirls.... . That's right...The Farve led Vikings...that's who!!!Looking forward to the game next week against the Saint...It's gonna be a tough one with the Saints hi-powered offense..and too bad we suck on the road.. If we win though it will be the first time back to the Superbowl since 1975, though we have never won one. I know the Saints have even more to play for since they have never been to the Superbowl. If we don't win on Sunday I hope the Saints take it all. Both the NFC and AFC championships should be great games.

the saints lost to the cowboys so its possible to beat them... we just need some insane defense to put lots of pressure on their qb to get him flustered.

I think that will be the key, also, as it was with the game against the Cowboys. Brees had a dangerous arm so well need #69 to get in there and create havok. It was awesome that we sacked Romo 6 times yesterday when no one was able to hardly touch him the previous 8 games. We'll need to bring the same kind of pressure against the Saints.

Quote, originally posted by ou.grizzly »What is the plan for Reggie Bush? We'll need to use the rope we stole from the Cowboys to Lasso him..... . But seriously, the Vikings defense has been hot lately. They have a top run defense that is hard to break thru for high yardage gains. I'm more worried about Brees' passing as our pass defense is not as good. That's why pressuring the QB will be key again in this game.On a side note: One thing that bothered me about the commentators at halftime and after the game on Fox Sports as they mainly focused on how poorly the Cowboys were doing and what they needed to do to come back and get in the game... not how well the Viking were doing. The Vikings deserved more credit for their efforts, IMHO.

I am curious if the Saints will use him in that capacity again.

If they don't get anywhere with the run, you can bet they will use him in other ways. He'll still get a lot of attention from our defense no matter what capacity he is used in.
