Install Tow Hitch 2009 2.4

Installed U-Haul hitch on my 2009 2.4 Vibe. Easy, no problems, took 20 minutes. You need 19mm socket, 10" 3/8's extension, ratchet and torque wrench. On the muffler side, pull down on the exhaust tip to side hitch in. Hand tighten bolts, then torque to 65 lbs.

Just installed mine last week. Can't get easier than that! (well, unless you have someone else do it for you ) I threw a little Lock-tight on the threads for good measure. Lighting kits are almost as easy as the hitch to install! Remove the connector from each tail light assy. and plug in the "T" connectors and just run a power wire to the battery. Only have to splice 2 wires!

DId you run the power wire thru the interior or chassis ?

So, what is the towing capacity for the 2009 Vibe 2.4L?

1,500 lbs regardless of the engine choice.
