I've resently been givin the oppertunity to be sponsored for $10,000 (50% off on parts and labor) to fix up my car for shows. So today, rather yesterday, after I got done washing and vacuuming the snot out of my car after the weekend of storms, I took her for a drive. I came upon a car show in progress at my local McDonald's, which is located on a empty most of the time strip-mall parking lot. It was no big thing and there were not any prizes being awarded, but it was still fun. Some older guys decided to have a flame/backfire competition that was pretty cool. My ears are still ringing! At first I didn't want to open the hood cause I messed up the lettering on my engine cover a little bit. (It's not perfect so I'm not happy with it). But after showing a friend what I all have done so far I decided to leave it up. I was parked in the boonies next to a worn rice wagon so I looked way better then his. I got alot of people checking out my car and it was nice to get some attention since it was 'Corvette Night'.

I saw an add in a HCI mag and I figured what the heck I could try. And last week I got a call and an e-mail saying I was accepted. The promotional company is Racer X Motorsports. From what I've seen, they mostly promote Nissan Skyline parts, cars, equipment.

I was only notified a week ago, I havent gotten anything. I'm waiting for the sponsorship package to arrive in the mail. I should have paperwork on setting up accounts and contracts & things like that.I am going to get the molding painted Satelite so it'll match the body kit, S/C when it does become available, I've been planing on getting custom fabricated covers so I can totaly remove the roof rack and have those covers blend in with a spoiler off the top. Just like the Vibe GXP. Carbon fiber hood, maybe nitrous? I'm still undecided on keeping the car clean (no fancy paint or graphics), or I like the idea of using WWII fighter aircraft graphics or older F-4's

If you've caught the new motorcycle show American Chopper with the arguing Dad and Son (the designer), then you'll know that basing your Vibe changes around a theme such as after a military jet is a GREAT idea. Theme based custom motorcycles are the most popular and their big money-makers/publicity getters.KSNeptune

Yeah, I did see that show. It was awesome to see what 'Lil Paul Jr. can come up with. But I had the idea of the warbird graphics for a while now. Since about last summer I think. I saw in some pictures from a car show and someone attemped it on their car. They even had the 'kill' emblems of other car insignia running down the front door.
