08 xb headers on 09 vibe gt?

i know theyll fit but will the cel come on ?

im not sure they will fit. but if you are .then no, you shouldnt get a cel as long as the o2 sensor(s) is in place . and there are no exhaust leaks.

You will get a CEL if you put a catless header on your car. You'll end up getting the P0420 code (due to a lack of a pre-cat). There is a secondary o2 sensor located after the pre-cat that determines the pre-cat's efficiency levels by measuring the amount of unburnt fuel left in the exhaust stream.

ok ended up putting tc headers and they fit perfect cel came on about 50 miles later but buying the cel fix

for some reason i was under the impression you were putting on stock scion headers. i will now assume since you got a cel. that they were infact aftermarket. do they delete a cat or something.do a search for cel fix exhaust . you can try a spark plug defouler 18mm mod it. put it on. it might fix your cel. if not your only out of 1.50$ and no electronics or wiring involved.http://www.spyderchat.com/foru...ensorheres a link to the mod.

cel fix didnt work returning it ,,,,anti fouler trick insteadnon drilled p42009 ---- non drilled p42002 ----- drilled p42002 no cel yet only 20 miles since i put them on

200 miles no CEL only p0137 came on cause i didnt reset the ecm after putting them in but its all good now

do you have a pic of the header on your car you can email me so I can see what it looks like. also how much trouble was it to install?
