Back in the saddle again... kind of.

So some will remember that a few years back, I was heartbroken to have to trade my Vibe off. Its eventual replacement has been a great little car (the Cobalt). Now with the warranty gone, it's even better except that I need to get the 16" wheels off of it now. Need wider rubber on the road and less sidewall so I quit wearing them down so fast. Otherwise it still looks stock. Had projector headlamps for a while but with halogen bulbs, the lenses kept melting so I ditched them. Now its all just the go-fast goodies, which shall remain classified at this point until I get it finished.Anyway, the point is that now I'm part-time back behind the wheel of a Toyotiac again. My wife brought a 2006 Toyota Matrix XR along with her. Even in dark grey, just like my Vibe was. I'll tell you, no matter what I ever do to the Cobalt, it will never make me grin like the Matrix does.

Uhh... yeah, I know this and I would have posted pics some time ago (given that she's been living with me for over a year now) but I need to fix some minor kid-related body damage first. It has some scratches down the side caused by a little boy with a bike. Can anyone say "I'm sorry Mom?" I've got the stuff to polish them, I just need it to cool down a little bit now... 90F+ is a little hot to be out buffing paint. As for having fun with both cars, sadly the 'Trix will probably stay mod-free. It's solidly reliable and we want to keep it that way. The poor Cobalt and my truck are taking the brunt of my mod bug... although the truck has once again died and with the wedding coming up in less than a month, I just haven't had time to fix it again.

I know money is tight for everyone. I don't know where I am going to get the money for everything I need to pay this month... It doesn't help that my job has slowed down to a crawl and I am changing lightbulbs in the fixtures just to stay busy.
