Choosing between my '09 Vibe and '07 T&C

Because we can, we have two cars - a 2007 SWB T&C, and a 2009 Vibe. They both have their virtues. My son had to go from Columbus to Charlotte - his 1998 Chrysler Cirrus was not up to the trip because of some needed maintenance/repairs. Was not able to get a 3 day rental cheap on priceline. So do I risk my 2007 T&C or my 2009 Vibe? The Vibe wins. I had him take the T&C. He called when he got there - with some good news and some bad news. The good news was he and my T&C got there safe and sound . The bad news he got a speeding ticket just after entering Virginia from West Va. The speed limit changes form 70 to 65, and you are going downhill so without even using the accelerator your speed can go to 80 mph plus unless you ride the brake which seems wasteful when no one is around. Cost was $130. I think the trooper gave him a break in writing 79 mph. 80 mph would have probably been another $50 or more. The return trip was all good news. Thank you Lord!I wonder if Va speeding tickets result in Ohio points or show up on any insurance inquiry.

Smart choice in using the T&C as the sacrificial lamb. Sucks about the ticket.

I hate speed limit traps like those! I am sure all the locals know, but the city refuses to adjust the signage!
