My mom liked my '09 GT so much that she ended up trading her '98 Sunfire SE Sedan in for one on May 23. She absolutely loves it. So far, I have gotten her the GM premium all weather floor and cargo mats, added Sylvania Silver Star fog and headlight bulbs, removed the PONTIAC VIBE GT badges and dealer sticker from the hatch and added a silver "GenVibe.com" sticker to the hatch glass. Mods to come will be the same as mine; a K&N Typhoon intake with an AEM DryFlow air filter and 35% tinted windows. Here is a picture of it the day she brought it home:And here are a few quick pictures of what it looks like now all shined up at Silver Springs State Park:I started a CarDomain page for her Vibe so be sure to check it out for any future updates and/or pictures.

Yep, 2 Vibe GTs, can't beat that

! One of these days they will both be clean at the same time so I can get some good shots of both them together.I almost got the Steel Blue Metallic one but I decided to stick with the silver. The Steel Blue Metallic looks absolutely amazing when it's all cleaned up and freshly waxed. It's got a ton of metallic flake in it so it looks absolutely killer in the sun.

Very nice GT! I love the color. I don't think I've ever seen that color in person.I'm also a former Sunfire owner ('00 coupe, 130k miles and still going). Loved that car also but it was time to upgrade.

Yes, it is a very nice color indeed! It looks purple more than blue, but it's very nice, especially in person. Pictures definitely don't do it justice. We loved our Sunfires, but I was spending too much money modding mine and decided I would rather get a new car to save myself some money. My mom's had 200,000+ miles on it and it needed to be retired.

Question: Why did you removed the Pontiac Vibe letters off the rear?I remember someone else thinking of doing the same.

My guess - taking something off is a cheaper way to mod than putting something on. Also confuses the hadies out of the parking ticket writer.Or . . . Maybe this seemed appropriate since Pontiac is no more. I thought of replacing my PO N T I A C with B U I C K or T O Y O T A. That also would confuse the parking ticket writer.

Think of all the money GM could save they eliminated badges. If somebody wanted them they could sell them in the "GM Store".But it would not surprise me if the name and model of a motor vehicle is required by the laws in one or more states.

Yeah, hopefully I never get pulled over, but if I do I'm sure the cop will have fun trying to figure out what kind of car it is, especially since no one drives '09 Vibes around here

.
