05-08 Tacoma cabin air filter compatible with G1 Vibes

I recently bought some third party cabin air filters for my 03 Vibe from a seller on eBay and the instructions on the inside shows that it's also compatible with 05-08 Tacoma's.Knowing this I suppose we could go to a Toyota dealer and ask for pricing on a Tacoma filter, and I'm assuming it'll be cheaper than a GM filter.I hope this will be useful as we've already documented Matrix filters don't fit Vibes.

Oh, I plugged in on Ebay for the filter, same ad comes up for Vibe, less than 11$ Whoopie That's 1/3 my local autoparts store quoted.

I called a local Toyota dealer and asked for pricing and was quoted $32.95 which is half of what my local GM dealer charges for a Vibe filter, and this is in Canadian dollars

Someone found a place a while back online and I bought 3 and shipped I believe it was right around $20. I'd have to do some searching to find the thread though.**edit** Here is the thread
http://forums.genvibe.com/zerothread?id=37459 and here is the site
http://logical-source.com/PONT....html. They had pretty quick shipping as well.

The ol' furnace filter DIY is still cheaper . $15 or so and if you buy the right size (the dimensions escape me at the moment) you can get I believe 6 filters from one. Still, this is good info if you need one in a pinch. I have no idea how GM can justify the price they quote for these things (or Toyota for that matter, $30+ is still ridiculous).

bodhi is dead on: furnace filters and a pair of scissors. Forget figuring out the dimensions, just go grab a cheapy and use the old filter as a guide. Jam the thing in there and replace it every 6 months. You'll be amazed at the amount of mold (unless you are in the desert) and pollen you capture. Best of luck.
