my car is the base auto 2003 vibe. it seems that today the rpms was high before shifting andf while driving it seemed high as well. it stayed in between 2 and 3 (x1000) rpms when going 60-70 mph. what should it be at? is this where it is supposed to be? it doesnt sound like its revving high or anything of the sort it sounds completely normal, it could be just me but i dont think ti is normal.

did you tap the O/D button on the side of the shifter... I use it all the time to shift the Auto, like a manual... especially in the winter..

nope, we accidently snapped the connectors on the end of it that connect to the actual button and found no use in trying to reconnect it so it is always on, no annoying little O/D off light is anywhere to be seen, i find no use in reconecting it, but if there is please tell me.

Using the brakes in certain situations will get you into MORE trouble.. I like to hit the OD button to slow myself a little a lot of the time (i'm all manual by heart, I hate driving an auto, unless i'm in traffic/long trips)We haven't talked winter tires yet have we?? They are VERY important IMHO... VERY...
