painting the body cladding

I have a salsa vibe with the unpainted body cladding. I was thinking about having them painted the same as the rest of the car. Has any one done this and what was the cost? When I bought my car I could't get a monotone salsa.

I haven't thought abpout painting the cladding but everyone I've talked to with a monotone package complains of the paint on the body cladding chipping and flaking. Due to the fact that the plastic heats up and flexes some it's better (in my opinion) to leave it as is. I don't think it looks bad, in fact I like it. Otherwise it way too much red. That was my main complaint about the newer Azteks. I have an '01 and the newer ones just need the gray cladding, solid they just don't look right. That's just my opinion anyway.
