looking for any info you may have on some front end noise. It only occurs when turning the wheel to the left. It is louder at highway speeds and is most noticable from the riders seat, however the driver can hear it and feel it through the streering wheel. It sounds like rubbing, but also makes a gear type hum. I'm wondering if this is a common problem or could be the result of some frontend damage that happened before we bought the car a little over a year ago? The repairs were done by a well known shop. thanks2005 AWD Vibe, 63K miles
Hi and welcome to GV..!If it's a "rotating" sort of sound you only get while turning one direction, points to wheel bearing.. A brake job could possibly be on order first though... It's far cheaper to go through the brakes and see.. I have a front brake tutorial here somewhere, should you need to have a look..
