that sound?

a lot of tuners have the whistle noise like air coming out when they shift or rev, what causes that? its a really cool noise if that helps...

They sell thingies that make that noise for the ricers if you want one so you can pretend to have a turbo or something.

I think what you are talking about is an air shifter. I don't know much about them though, just heard of them.

Yeah man what your hearing is a blow off valve realeasing built up pressure from a turbo when you let off the gas.

Son we have to get together and talk cars lol. A blow off valve is part of a turbo set up. Not all factory turbos have them, But most after market ones do. Basically, unless you have 5 grand laying around, your car wont sound like that.

I was also going to mention if you have to ask about the Turbo / BOV then you probably shouldn't get one... the time/cost envolved, esp for a vibe... go buy a car that already has a factory turbo, and then just add the BOV...
