How many can really say they have had absolutely no problems with their Vibe after at least 6 months of ownership?

Knock wood...this year will make 3 years. 0 problems. Just made 32,000 miles. Did JD Power or anybody send me a survey? Noooooo.Frosty on the other hand had a defective battery in it, a couple of months along, which they warrantied and paid for tow.

Had our '05 Vibe 45 months, 37K miles and it's NEVER been back to the dealer for anything. Only car we've ownd we can say that about. Take that back, we've had our '09 Corolla for 8 months now and it hasn't been back to the dealer either.

Almost at 70,000 miles on a 2005 and have never taken to the dealer or had any problems ever. Bought it new 50 miles.

My '04 (bought in Nov '03) has had no problems at all; 1st car I have owned that I can say that about. Still getting 37 - 39 mpg!

Blown up stock subwoofer after 2 years... replaced on warranty, but can't really call this a problem because it was working but with some buzzing sounds I could not withstand.And I have 120,000km on my 05.

HAHAHAHAHAHAHA! Mine first went into the shop at 3800 miles and didn't stop until my nerves were shot and I cut my losses. Results not typical, I guess.

had my 09 for about 8 months now and so far no problem. only had to replace a windshield couple weeks ago because a rock cracked it but that's not the car's fault lol

I'm going to say no problems after owning an 09 for about 12 months. Except...I do have the annoying sound coming from the dash just like the people with previous vibes.. guess that's one small problem.

It's been over 2 years and the only issue I have had were caused by me.

Three years, 80,000 miles. No problems.

Nothing that consists of warranty work or other routine maintenance.35k on my 06.

I've had enough problems to convince me that toyota reliability is a successful fantasy concocted by toyota marketing.

After nearly 6 years of ownership I have to say that the crappy paint on the hood and my 4 windshield replacements are all that I've had...

In order to get the famed weld-the-hood-shut Toyota quality, I had to trade for a Hyundai. What's the world coming to? hahahahaha!!! But Kari's car has been a good one, I will say that. It's had plenty of time for stuff to start breaking (not so much in terms of mileage, it's not even at 60k yet.) the paint on it is crappy but for now that seems to be the worst of it.

The only problem with my 09 so far was the center caps on the wheels falling off. The new redesigned caps seem to be holding nicely.

Just bad luck, mon. I don't know if you've noticed, but there are a lot of Vibes, Matrix, and even more Corollas of all years plying the roads across North America, alone, never mind the rest of the planet. Successfully concocted fantasies eventually come to bad end (See Bernie Madoff!) once reality shows up. These cars are still selling pretty well, even in this market.It seems like most people have had great luck with their Toyotas. They are not 100% trouble free, but they are pretty close to it. Can't imagine how so many have been bought up all these years, if their reputation was that of an unreliable money pit with many faults. What kind of problems have you had with your Vibe?

Didn't say Toyota was perfect. You're right, quality always takes a hit when you go big. In Toyota's case, maybe too big. My son's 05 Vibe and my own have been running without problems. I'm only one Toyota into this relm, so my experience with the brand is on the light side.

We have had our Vibe for 14 months and about 17,000kms with only minor problems such as:- loss of 5 different wheel caps (all four fell off and one replacement fell off);- engine warning lights will not turn off while vehicle in use (occurs about one in every three times we turn on the car);- minor occasional dash squeaks.

All minor probs:-Replaced battery-broken pass side door handle-interior dome light out-front speakers on thier way out-vent odor (used lysol)-replaced blower resistor ( 40 bucks for parts & did it myself)The vibe is a great car, but I would have expected better gas mileage. I was getting better mileage with my 2 door 2003 civic. Averaged about 370 - 380 miles per tank. Getting about 270 avg. with the Vibe. Vibe is about 200 lbs heavier, so I can understand. Overall im happy with the Vibe.

Bought it new two years ago. Had no problems until last month when the Check Engine light came on at about 19,500 miles and it started shifting really hard. It was a bad PCM (Powertrain Control Module). It was covered under the warranty, at least. Only other issue I've had is a short in my dome light, which I had them fix while they had it for the PCM replacement. Other than that, nothing other than regular maintenance. Still lovin' my Vibe!

i had a problem where the tranny was snapping into gear when the check light came on. had that fixed. then (my mistake), i bought an ebay intake for my vibe and that screwed up my MAF sensor and my o2 sensor. replaced those. now i have to replace my o2 sensor again in order to get that damn check light off. lol

I had one computer module die in it where it made the automatic transmission jerk between shifts, and the backlights had died in the stock radio as well (which as been replaced with a Sony) the car was in the shop for a week, and the stock battery was dead yesterday as well.

135k miles on mine, not a single problem at all EXCEPT for one of the few pieces of the car that are GM, that would be the blower motor resistor that finally crapped out. Replaced it this week and now I have a fully functioning fan unit.

My 2001 Hyundai Elantra gave me less problems than my '05 Vibe and I owned the Elantra longer and put more miles on it. Now I'm back to Kia. Hopefully it will treat me the same as the Hyundai.
