05 non-GT 5 speed is too slow....... need some help speeding things up

Post by knaffie »

Coming from a 1995 Prizm with 265,000 miles, my Vibe with only 60,000 is noticeably slower. This is rather aggravating at times, especially for me who loves to put the hammer down. This is my wife's daily driver and our long trip vehicle. Absolutely can't touch the exhaust. IMO, intake kits provide minimal at best results, especially without changing the exhaust. So I'm thinking those aren't the way to go.Does anybody make a tuner or are there shops that do custom tunes? If so, do they make a noticeable difference? Any other tricks out there? Thanks for any help.

honestly with out forced induction you will not feel much for gains. You could tune the stock setup but you'll see soo little it wont be worth it.Cheap mods for power are:after market exhaust manifoldintakebored throttle bodythrottle rotor (weapon R makes this)Camcon (vvt tunning)Tuning option (emanage, unichip, etc)the GM or trd supercharger with adapter platenitrous
