*backstory* i was recently away from my car for 3 days and when i got back i noticed a lot of crap on the car like sap, leaves, dirt; that weren't there when i left. i can't wash the car at home so i went to one of the self service places.*/backstory* when i opened the trunk after washing it i noticed some water in the back on the sides and on my sub. i then opened the glass and noticed that the weather stripping in the bottom right corner was not attached and some other areas are rather loose too. what product can i use to re-attach it, or do i need to get new weatherstripping too? it appears to not be torn, just the glue wore off.

You might not need any, will it stay in place if you put it back on?They do sell weatherstrip adhesive at all kinds of places that may be of use to you.

I wonder if double-stick Scotch tape might do as well.

if its anything like GM weatherstripping the main channel has a metal u shape covered by rubber you should be able to squeeze the channel tighter and push it back on the metal edge.
