i read some forums about replacing the fog lights, and i still have unanswered questions, first should i get the exact replacements for my entirely broken fog lights and cases or should i rig it so i can fit two aftermarket circular foglights inside it? which would work better? and if i do buy the stock replacements, what are the exact bulbs that should be put in it if i would like that ultra bright insanly white look, ( would those bulbs also work in the headlights of my 03 vibe, i want everything to be the brightest possible. thank you ahead of time.

Wow you have a lot of questions lol. Just find some OEM replacements, they look better. You could get some cheapo ones from Autozone to fit, but they wont look that good. And your probably thinking of HID's. You could convert your lights to HID's but it ain't cheap.

the number refers to the type of bulb the light socket usesvibe headlights use 9003/h4vibe foglights use 9006. however 9005's can be used IF modified.

It's what I did when I was his age.. 9003/9006 are the bulbs BASE, as Keith mentioned.. There are only about 20 different bases in use and only about 4-5 common ones.. If you go looking, you can make the visual comparison.. AFA the broken housing, Ebay.. They aren't hard to install, but you need to set the new and old side by side and make sure everything is the same... When I replaced a set for one of our now exiled members Darkmatter(SP?) I had to swap over the adjuster screws...

When I was 16, I thought that the displacement was my horsepower. I had a 305 V8 and I told everyone I had 305 hp. Live and learn. It will all come in time for ya. At least you have great site here to clue you in a lot of things.

I've spewed BS like that i'm sure in the past...lol... i'm just having a hard time now remembering WHAT... I'll tell you what though, my first car, a 92' VW GTi, was a TOTAL pile of crap... It was always broke somehow... I VOWED that I would never get rolled over a barrel again, like I did with that car.. (this was "just" as forum sites were switching over from the oldschool bulletin boards..) If I have a problem, I know I can find an answer online, these days.. lol.. I still haven't found a Chevy Aveo forum yet though... lol.. (My GF's car)

If I could find aftermarket spring/struts for it and some poly motor/tranny mounts. The Aveo could REALLY be a micro-car force to be reconned with... lol... I would also love to be able to get a lightweight flywheel for it to... The motor LOVE to rev, but the darn flywheel is always there keeping things "slow".. lol... Sport Compact Car ran a seies where they built one for Time Attack... put the CBSS turbo motor in, full cage, full coilovers... the whole 9... lol.. I wanted that car.. BAD..
