? Trade Cars ?

Haven't posted for awhile. I have thought about another Vibe - Pontiac news doesn't bother me - like moving from '06 to '08 (still like body style) or maybe gently used '09 (unless new prices beat used prices). Also keep reading about Mazda 3 hatch as option. Any ideas. My '06 is great with 59K, and probably shouldn't be thinking about another one, but I am. Any thoughts or ideas?

My impression of the Mazda 3 - smaller; more like a Honda Fit. Also not as tall. Other alternatives IMO include the Nissan Versa Hatchback; Scion xD; Kia Rondo; Nissan Rogue; Hyundai Touring (Elantra SW),

59K thats barely broke in, especially to just trade into the same car different year. If you are considering the Mazda 3, ya might wanna kick it up a notch and go with the Speed 3 or something new to the market, the New Mitsubishi Lancer Sportback and Sportback Ralliart. Dealers should have showroom models soon and drivers by the end of May. I really like the look of them

I really like the look of them +1but staying prob in the same price range, i'd maybe look at the saturn astra. maybe a little more compact, but all from what i've heard, great handling. and i've always liked the look of the XR.i also like the mazda 3 and isuzu impreza

Thanks for all your replies. While I am 99% certain I won't follow through with a trade right now, I did discover the Hyundai Elantra Touring (small wagon) following up on suggestions and reading a few car sites. The Elantra sedan has received all kinds of "best of." We have an '06 Hyundai Azera which has been a great car. Regularly average overall 25 MPG on a trip with actual highway normally being over 27+ and as high as 30 with much comfort and great options.

Same question I ask everyone who thinks about getting rid of their "great car": why on earth did you buy the Vibe in the first place?? I just don't understand why people get rid of their cars. Did you do the research before buying it? Why not keep it until it crashes and burns? All you are doing is throwing away good money. Cars are the worst purchase for the money we will ever make. They won't ever make you money over time (unless your car ends up on Barrett Jackson), and nothing has overtly weird has changed on the car since the day you bought it (it hasn't lost an axle forcing you to glue a round rock to replace the tire). Keep the thing. Its a Corolla. You made a wise choice xx amount of years ago; don't throw that away! So if you are financially like the rest of us, and didn't buy Exxon Mobil stock when the last President came into office and sold it when he left, leave well enough alone. The great news is: GM was dumb enough to pump out two next generation model years of Vibe's out of NUMMI before the company goes belly-up. You'll have the 2009 and 2010 models to choose from some other dummy who is thinking of dumping their Vibe's for a dramatically inferior car.
