Back when I was having some trouble with my Vibe, a few people inquired if my daily drive was "hilly."I snapped some pictures to give you an idea of what the horizon really looks like. First one is flat, curvy parts.

Third, one of the many hills that caused my car to downshift.

Pretty flat alright. Looks a lot like some (mostly north-central Wyoming) of the territory around where I live. Of course coming accross Nebraska was worse than that. Not that it's bad, of course...

but, millster, your avatar has the rockies in the background. If I took a picture of my car out on the highway, there wouldn't be a background (unless you count Manitoba) ... lol.that's OK, I don't mind being interrupted. I just keep on blathering anyway

Well yes, I can certainly say I'm in a diverse area for scenery. There's some flat parts and some really pretty and mountainous parts. I just happen to actually live in the flat part. At least where it's flat in your pictures it's grassy and green. It's yellow and forelorn looking around here. Fortunately, for me the mountains are but 50 miles to the west. I'll have to get the rest of my pics online, hopefully tomorrow. I just had to get my avatar changed to a photo from Montana.

Well, since you live in Scratchmyassandrun or for you American's Saskatchewan, that entire province is one flat plate.

quote:ScratchmyassandrunHee hee, that's a new one for me. Usually, we are referred to as "The Gap" (no, not the clothing store). Apparantly, it takes some getting used to, being able to see so far ... screws up your depth perception. Don't ask, that's what I'm told by others who move here.We Saskatchewanians are aka "Stubble-jumpers" or "Flat-landers," who would fall over if the wind actually stopped blowing, because we are so used to leaning into it. The wind would go away if it weren't for the fact that Manitoba sucks and Alberta blows (you know I'm kidding, but that's the way the saying goes).
