I have a 2005 Toyota corolla S and i want to know how i can hook up my Ipod through the radio with out one of the cheap fm connectors with all the static.any input would helpThanks

Do not, I repeat do not use a broad cast fm modulator. The FCC has so throttled the broadcast power that it is for all purposes been rendered useless. Maybe if you live in a rural area with just a few radio stations you could get it to work to some level of quality. But if you live in an area of many radio markets and overlapping stations a broadcast modulator is worthless if you drive. It's ok in your driveway, just don't move the car.Get yourself a hardwired FM modulator. To put it simply, unplug the radio antenna and plug the modulator into the radio and the antenna wire into the modulator. Power up the modulator and set the station you desire to use, plug in the iPod and enjoy!With a little more money and time, get the proper iPod wires and hook it up to charge the unit as it plays through your stereo head. Easy to do and only cost about $50 if you shop wisely.Dave

the radio I had installed in my vibe I got done at circut city (though they aren't around now)...but that model came with an ipod adapter....they wired it into my glove box so i had my ipod photo sitting in my glove box with no exposed wires...it was niceI am trying to think about what I should do now in my vue...the radio is blah but the dealer threatened me to not change it out or I would lose satelite radio and all that (not like I care about that) so we'll see what they come out with down the road for the 08 vue radio-wise

Hi,While this doesn't apply directly to your model it does show how easy it is to replace the radio head. It is even easier to simply add a wired fm modulator for all you need to do is unplug and plug in the antenna wire and then plug the modulator into your 12v lighter port.DaveAs Mentioned, crutchfield is an excellent resource and product supply source though you can find many items cheaper elsewhere.
