I have a 2009 2.4 vibe with 6,000 miles on it . We just took atrip to southern Iowa from southern Minnesota and back. Our mileage was 27 and 28 miles to the gallon. I was a litttle disapointed since it was a nice spring day. We were on mostly freeway. Are other 2.4 owners getting similar. Thanks, 3002 canoe

I just got back from a road trip not too long ago and 26 mpg was what I got as well. I was kinda disappointed as well, especially since the gas tank is small so I had to stop to pull gas more often than I'd like.

My usual drive is 70% highway/30% city.On long trips, almost only highway, at around 70 MPH, I get around 30-31 MPG, best one being 33.6 MPG last summer. I have to say I'm a "quiet" driver. As GM says the Vibe is supposed to do 21-29 MPG, your mileage is about right. This winter, I got 23-24 MPG.

I have a 2009 Vibe 2.4L with about 4500km on it. The first 3000km was averaging about 11-11.5L/100km (40% highway /60% city) this winter. Now i'm averaging about 10L/100km for 50%/50%. I hope to get better this summer... it's still high. Seem to be improving lately with the warmer weather and break in...Can you please convert your mileage in L/100km or state if imperal or US gallons? Thanks

I've averaged about 29 mpg since I bought my '03 GT in November of '07, and it's higher in the spring & summer. Highest has been 34 and lowest was 25.

Only have about 4 fill-ups to date, but so far the average has ranged between 30 and 32 MPG (U.S.) or 7.4 to 7.8L/100km.2009 2.4 automatic. 2200km in 2 weeks... just starting to break in I think.

I have an 09 1.8 and I am getting 32-33 on my daily commute. Check my sig for a tank by tank break down.

I thought the name of this thread was mileage, not miles per gallon. Oh well, I'll jump in the caldron. I have 7500 miles since September, and that takes into consideration that the idiots at the dealership had my car in the paint shop after: 1: denting my car on a floor jack during checkout; and 2: repainting the hood due to all the acid rain damage. And to violate this thread: I got (as I always get) 30 mpg today in all (major city) suburb driving, with a very lead foot and a push-the-engine-to-the-max attitude. Thank you Corolla-Vibe!!

Mine is brand new 2.4 FWD and I checked it last week-end and I averaged 30 mpg 90% highway at 70 mph on the cruse and 10% city.

I have a 2003 VibeGT I only use for longer trips. When the original junky Continental tires wore out, I did my homework -- finally settling on Bridgestone Potenza RE0505A Pole Positions. Handling and cruising were vastly improved -- gas mileage stayed about the same.Anyway, as to mileage -- on a 10,000 mile drive from Pittsburgh out through Seattle and Vancouver, down the coast to San Diego, with a zig out to Boise and a zag back to Mendocino last fall (speaking tour presenting my book, The Essence of Reality), I got reliably 34 to 37.5 mpg, mountains, deserts, curvy roads, whatever. Once or twice I got 38.5, and once over 40 -- but that was coming down out of the Rockies into Denver, where I did a lot of drifting.I now have 57,000 miles on my GT, love it and thoroughly enjoy driving. For good mileage, take it easy and keep it in 6th gear!!
