Once again, the camera doesn't do justice. it is much more rich than the pics lead on.New Head Unit KDC-HD942USubPainted interior pieces. The color shifts between purple and green. It actually looks really good in person and in the car.The great (removed) printPainted rear seats and front seat covers.

yeah, i got them from Keith. And if you are looking for a how-to, I'm def not the person. I am probably going to have to take them of and remove the lenses again this weekend due to the fact that I neglected to aim and adjust prior to putting the lenses back on. Learned a lot from my mistakes though

nice work on the projectors Paint your front grille black next...I'll ask since no one else did --- how'd that (removed) print happen? Are you missing both lower grille inserts?

by Wolfman213
two birds with one stone, I do plan on painting the grilles, but once i buy some nex lower grilles that you noticed lol. When the g/f was driving the car, she came out of a store and there it was. It looks like some one deliberately sat on it, or possibly pushed into it. She was afraid to tell me at first. She told me over the phone, I was a lil peeved, but once I seen it, i couldn't help but to laugh. I would like to get it fixed, but then again, who else has a perfect (removed) print on their Vibe??

Added pics of the new head unit. I Currently have a 32GB USB connected to it but I'm hoping I can get the 200GB internal converted to and external to work. Mainly have power issues since the port only supplies 500mA of power and it's wanting to draw 900 mA on spin up. I have a jumper on the way to hopefully rectify this!!More blue coming this weekend!!! Stay tuned!

Debadged the Vibe this weekend. I also put in some LEDs lighting the driver and passenger floors. I got a pretty sweet little junction box from Autozone that allows you to control 4 different setups. Each line is rated at 10A and since I'm using LEDs, I can go buck wild! I will have updated pics hopefully tonight.

Put the 03-04 center console lid on last night. Many thanks to jeffgtx for the quick shipment of it!! Just due to my arm resting higher, it feels like I sit up higher. Also received UV/Purple leds to mix with the blues in the gauge cluster. I'm also going to put the diffuser back on to relieve the hot spots. Pics, of course, will follow.

Are you still up for a trade, maybe? Custom LED setup in exchange for a tat? I'm game. Sorry to hear about your accident today btw.

Yeah, I'm definately down for it. IM'ed you.Thanks. I mean yeah I have a but print and a few scuffs here and there, but even though this isn't too bad, it's still irritated since it was at the fault of someone else and not just a normal occuring thing like rock chips.

hey your vibes looking great. i am curious about the painted rear seats. did you use the fabric paint i have seen before in the spray can? i think duplicolor makes one. anyway how does it feel? ive wondered about that before if it makes the fabric stiff or uncomfortable in anyway. is it noticeable if you sit back there?
Posted: Wed Mar 02, 2011 1:34 am
by Wolfman213
Thanks! yes, I used the fabric paint. I imagine had I washed the seats and prepped them better, then they would have turned out even better. I'm impatient though lol. They were stiff at first; however, I believe they softened up after a week or so. Honestly never sat in them lol. I'll ask my cuz bc she always rides back there and see what she says.

yea please do find out for me if you can. sorry to bug you but if i get to completing my interior i might do something. just always wondered how that stuff would work out by it softening up after a while did it crack or anything? i just cant imagine what this could be like going on. is it more like a dye than a paint? sorry to bug you about this just never had another chance to find out from anyone who has used it.

Forgot to ask yesterday, but I set a reminder on my phone to ask today lol. That's how forgetful I am!!The only spots I've seen fade is where I had my sub in the box sitting for almost 5 months. It wasn't hooked up, just sat it there. I'm going to touch it up once the weather gets better. Hmm... Probably like an aerosal dye lol It def didn't seem like a typical paint, but at the same time it did have some paint type qualities in the way it dried. But this being the first time I ever used fabric/seat as the canvas, it's kinda hard for me to say for sure.Your def not bugging me. That's what we are here for on this forum is to help others out.
