Hi Everyone,I have had success in mounting my amps under the passenger seat. I used some little bolts which act as a stand off and hold the two amps together. I then used a two little pieces of sticky Velcro to hold down the amps and they stay in place quite nicely Power wires run along side vehicle and rca's and speaker wire run under carpet closer to the centre console ( pictured above )Alpine deck with Sirius radio
Nice, besides the Velcro idea... i've never been a fan of that, because you can forsee what will happen should you get into a head on collision... ripping someones feet off would suck.. So, what's the amps running?? Huh? huh?.... lol..
True, but there is big bump under the seat so I doubt it could fly forward. None the less a good point. what do you suggest ?The setup is kinda lame, a poor man's if you will. In my old car I was just running two component speakers, the amps and a sub, so now I am running the amp to my two front speakers Clarion coaxial and the two back speakers which are Alpine coaxial, those both sets came with the vehicle.

That's what I recommend allllll the time... Poor mans or not, it still ROCKS... that's what it's all about..
Yeah that is how I am running it JL e2150 running two front 6.5 speakers 2 rear speakers running off deck turned downJL e1200 running 12'' JL Sub in Custom box.. nothing fancy

Not likely, so why would you want the bulk of the sound coming from the rear??

Why a lot of people go to a Front Stage mode? I've heard of it, never understood it, I actually have my stereo set-up partial to the rear slightly, seems to sound better that way, but that's on stock speakers, so maybe it just clears it up a little since it's not as loud in the front where I am at.

His recommended set up (front stage/rear fill) is intended to reproduce a live musical performance.Good staging and imaging will fool you into thinking that everything, including bass, is in front of you. Think about the stage set up at a concert... The lead vocalist is usually front and center and the instruments and backup singers are off to the left and right, but always in front of you.The "rear fill" IMO should be barely audible...just loud enough to be heard, but not noticeable unless you're trying to hear those speakers. Some might say "rear fill" is optional. I don't necessarily agree with them, however, I don't have rear speakers installed anymore. It doesn't bother me unless I am watching a movie (3.1 vs. 5.1 sound). As mentioned before, everything including bass should seem to come from the front. To bring the bass to the front of the car, crossover your front mid-bass speakers as low as they can go without distortion, then cut you sub(s) at a slightly higher frequency. The mid-bass speakers will pull the bass to the front of the car.The bottom line goal is to hear sounds coming from instruments and voices, not speakers.
