Leather Wrapped Steering Wheel

I got my hands on a leather wrapped steering wheel from a Matrix for $40.00 the other day and surprisingly it came with the cruise control switch also. At the same time, I have a black leather wheel skins cover to install. I think I will pay for a trim shop to do it as I can not take the chance of cutting up my hands.I am going to call the dealer to get a quote and more than likely have them install the wheel. Hoping I will only have to pay for about an hour worth of labour. I do hope it will work on my 2008 Vibe as it was from an 2003 Matrix. Anyone know?

Should be the same...Flat rate for swapping a steering wheel is listed as .6 hours, so it shouldn't be any more than an hours labor. Could also try a local body shop or garage too.

Well the question at hand is because of when I came across this thread: http://forums.genvibe.com/zerothread?id=6363Tnpartsguy talks about 03-04 having a different part number due than an 05+ due to the cruise control graphic? Whatever that means.Unless that means the graphics on the cruise control stalk changed? Which it looks like they did. Not sure...Anyone elaborate?

Looks like it is just the graphics on the cruise stalk. Not 100% that nothing else changed though...

I do have a question about this though. I just noticed on my '03 GT that the leather wrap (top of the steering wheel) is starting to disintegrate. Any ideas how to fix?

I have a OEM Leather Steering Wheel from a Toyota Matrix + a Wheel Skin's Cover, have yet had time to get either installed as I have been busy with other things and the weather is still on the iffy side. I will try to get everything set within the next 4-6 weeks.
