Seems pretty inexpensive compared to a lot of the oils out there. Wondering if anyone is using or has used it, and how they like it.

Use Motorcraft 5W20 synblend in all 3 vehicles. Excellent oil, very good price.

I wouldn't use it in the '09 under warranty, might be an issue.

I wonder what the '09 Vibe is supposed to use? I assumed it would be 5W30 but maybe not.

I believe Honda and Ford have recommended 5W20 for several years now.......and probably would prefer you use 0WXX since 0W is only availabe in synthetic.

I run 0w30 Castrol Syntec in my Subie.. It's the only oil on the shelves that is 100% German made, which holds them to MUCH stricter TUV standards... Running a 0wXX in the general car is totally not needed though... I use it so it flow into my Turbo quickly... It's also a vERY stable oil..

the ow-40 is what my new car is calling for. I am more concerned about the 10,000 mile interval. I change now every 5,000. The 10,000 is what the manual calls for in the new car.

I think the oil is for diesel engines. We ran 0w40 in our large trucks at work. They were stored outside at -40.

I used the Motorcraft 5-W-20 in the 2006 Focus that I used to lease. As long as I bought by the case, I remember the price to be fairly reasonable.

My wife will be driving the vibe for the most part. If I change the vibe to synthetic oil I will most likely extend the miles in between changes.

I don't see any particular reason why you feel you have to use the same oil in both.Frankly I'm a bit surprised at the 40 weight recommendation for the Smart since it goes against the trend toward recommending lighter weight oils both for improved fuel efficiency and for better lubrication in today's engines that are made to stricter tolerances.

I plan on useing the proper viscosity in each car. As far as the smart goes, I do not have it yet and I think the viscosity is dif. for west & south than it is for East & north

I finally have the ability to change the oil in our cars... Was out at mal*wart looking today for oil and found this stuff. I need 5w20 in the Hyundai and the shop I had been bringing mine to was a blend of some description and I kinda liked it... Motorcraft was the only blend they had in stock. You can't beat the price. $11.50 for the 5 quart jug. I seem to be reading good things about it so hopefully all goes well. What kind of life expectancy should I see with this stuff? I was doing 4k changes with the blend from the shop, I trust that would be ok here.
