DIY, definitely. You can pick up a big (4' x 6' I believe) door mat at Lowes or Home Depot for about $12. Lay it down in the back and just cut it down to size. Actually, here's a DIY in the Modification Index with photos. http://forums.genvibe.com/zerothread?id=15734He didn't do the back of the seats, but you could easily. The carpet sits in there pretty well because of the contours of the bay, and I also used my cargo tie-downs to anchor it in various spots. Then I cut a little slot for the baby seat tie-down, and was good to go. No more groceries sliding all over the back. First and best mod I did on the Vibe

I have the seat back ones.I picked them up from another member here. They are fitted nice. The only problem with them is keeping them stuck to the back seats.Need something stronger than industrial velcro.

I poked holes in a couple of spots on the track and screwed the black tiedowns in through the carpet.

From another thread I started not being aware of this one - Anyone have any experience with this cargo mat offered on eBay;http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors...ories? ... ----REPORT: For my new 2009 I bought the mat that just covers the floor area (not the back of the rear seats) and while the $43 cost [$30 + $13 shipping] doesn't equate to a bargain I am very well satisfied with it. I could not do nearly as perfect a job at cutting it to fit, and not having to spend the time is worth something to me. The person who makes and markets these deserves to make a profit. eBay probably gets a $3-4 fee off the deal. Dealers ought to buy these for resale - several could be shipped for the $13.

what i did was go to target an bought a big square of carpet similar color and of the style i wanted. i cut it up to fit on the seat back, on the spare cover, and i'm going to cover more of it. i have it cut in a way so that i don't have to remove any pieces to change the seats or to open the seat back. i also taped them down with carpenter's tape. that stuff doesn't work so well at keeping the carpet attached to the seats if they are in the upright position. any ideas?i also plan on finishing the carpeting in my car come warm weather.i can't find my thread to show my pictures.*edit* found it. http://forums.genvibe.com/zerothread?id=35100

I have been buying Kraco heavy duty rubber floor mats for my cars at Sam's Club for several years. For $20 I splurge for new ones when I sell my old cars. The gray one's look good in the new 2009 Vibe. There are two "trim" lines so you can cut off about 5/8th inch each (1-1/4 total if need be) on the sides to provide almost a custom fit. And of course you can trim down (narrow) only one side if that suits you. That $20 includes two mats for the back seats.
