How much HP do you want in an econobox? They have a 2.7L 4cyl out too. I want 40 mpg but I cant get that either.

Drives like a geezer though. idk I get mileage like my vibe did in my turbo so yeah until diesel comes we wait or get hybrids :/

Funny, when gas was being sold for over 4 bucks a gallon, I saw a lot of geezer drivers. Now it's less expensive and we are back to using it carelessly. Eventually as we use more gas, and the economy starts to churn up again around the world pushing demand even more, gas prices will head upward significantly, and we will probably be back to the geezer driving thing. Short memory, sucks.

What jake said. I'd get a 1.2L if they made it. Im not even that old, but I used to drive a 1.6L 1983 nissan with about 75 hp and I never got run over.

Is the fact that you get basically same gas mileage but more HP from the 2.5L... why not?

I got 31.7 mpg in my 1.8L vibe. At the end of the trip I have 976 miles. its not even broken in yet. and I wasnt driving very slow. Id love to see a 2.4L vibe do that, or a RAV, or an xB.
