Newbie here - 2009 Vibe GT windows icing up on the inside

Hi everyone, I had a 2003 Vibe and now a 2009 GT - in the 09, anytime the temperature drops below about -8 celsius (or 17 F) I get ice forming on the inside windows including the sun roof inside (unless there is "insulating" snow on the sun roof). If anyone has any ideas I would love to hear them (my 03 had the same issue but at a colder temperature and did not have the same thickness of ice on the inside).TIAjaysue

I have the same problem with my 09.When I try to use the window it doesn't budge until I hear a loud noise of ice breaking inside the door panel and then the window works normally. I asked a clerk from the dealer and he told me to put silicon to stop water from getting inside the window/door panel... I have yet to try it.

Hi and welcome to Genvibe!Check out this thread:
http://forums.genvibe.com/zerothread?id=6875 a trick would be "When you turn off your car at night (or anytime during the day) put the fan control to the "foot position".Your windshield is iced on the inside probably because you left the defogger/defroster setting on the fan.... All the humidity of the car was directed towards the engine..." Salsa!Could that help you out?

i have an 04, if it is below freezing i don't have a back right window. it doesn't defrost ever unless the outside temp goes above freezing. i dunno. i just got used to it.
