Hi Everybody!

Just a post to say i have been away but will be poking in now and again... again.I've had to stay away as the mods were piling up and so were the bills. I did get my stereo in (thanks Ragingfish), heated mirrors are in, Alt and crank pulleys are also installed.I ripped my Unichip out after it fried itself this past summer and left my wife and kids stranded on the side of a busy highway... no problems since its removal. I will also be removing the springs as they are just too stiff for everyday driving in this town and I fear the dental bills for my kids. The s/c dream is over, my Unichip is gone, the s/c's are hard to come by and expensive and I just need a reliable functional vehicle and I have that now. The main reason that I can finally admit that is because of the 09 Forester XT that's now parked in my driveway. I look forward to joining Mavrik and AKLGT and many others in their turbo-AWD fun.Anyway just saying hello to all you veterans and newcomers, this site is still among the best on the web for an auto forum.CAN-AWD-VIBE

well just be aware that subaru just put a stop sale on ALL 2.5 turbo model cars due to a knock in the engine. Most likely due to oil starvation. If you have the turbo model pay CLOSE attention to the engine sounds. This stop doesn't effect the base model with out the turbos.
http://www.autoblog.com/2008/0...bod-2/Some already know this and I can only hope that they have fixed this. I am sure our resident subi members will chime in on this topic.Congrats on the new ride

My Forester is FOB and I don't think it's been sitting for a year over there. But I do appreciate the heads up.Hello Cochrane... No write ups, but if you get the kit I can help you out with were to tap in and the mixed success of prying mirror glass away from the mirror housing.

yeah that will do... only i used the rear defrost switch as the heated mirror switch.use the power and add a relay... then they are timed with the rear window and no additional holes anywhere.

Quote, originally posted by keithvibe »your joking right???Look four posts above yours in my post No, I am not joking.I want signal mirrors that look like the ones in Ragingfish's picture and get the heated element kit, no those round wide angle deals. That is why I am asking if there is an alternative. I guess I am going to have to call them during business hours. Project "warm up frosty" will be commencing soon.

I though you just wanted heated mirrors, I must have misunderstood your post that you wanted signal mirrors.

I think I am not getting how the user above in the other thread did that without signal mirrors.
