So you are not revving the engine yourself with the gas pedal? Its doing that on its own?

ya, mine's doing the same thing, only by cold day (5C and less) for about 2 min, up to went the engine start to warm.Personnally I don't worry about it. It looks like there a "cut off" to prevent the engine to rev too high on idle, but because the engine is cold it wants to rev... if it was a real issue, Toyota and GM would have made a recall.
