Are your fuel mileage concerns making you sell?Too bad you did not post this 3 weeks ago when I was in the market. Good luck with the sale.

in reality yes. My mileage is down now on the highway and seems to be levelling off. I think I am just fed up with what I had to go through to get to this point. I'm used to my supermiler's, you know TDIs getting 50+ mpg and that is what I will have to go back to. I should have known better. I didn't.Cheers

Even if you only lose $3,100 it is going to take a long while to get recover that on gasoline.

I understand your frustration in that the Vibe did not meet your original expectations quick enough and your patience has worn down to nil. Please keep in mind that with the next oil change and with warmer temperatures in a few more months the fuel mileage will be more than satisfying. We do not want you to make a rash decision that you may regret farther down the line due to being frustrated at this particular moment, especially when you may not recoup the $3100.In the scheme of things, it would be more financially sound to keep the vehicle as the fuel consumption will decrease. The members here want to help you and also want you to be happy. We are pulling for ya and remember, keep your stick on the ice!

wow... price is $352 month for 58months. Or if you would prefer $20416 in a lump sum.If you pay in a lump sum you would be borrowing money at a high interest rate to do so. In other words, there isn't a point in doing that. The price is $352 per month. NO INTEREST NO FEES NO TAXES for 58 monthsCheers

Does some sort of legal paperwork need to be created? Especially in the case of a car accident or law suit. I am curious, that is all.

It would be slightly less than the amount you originally financed with the loan.

I'd be suprised if you could get rid of it and only lose the $3k. They've got a similarly optioned one at a local dealer for $17k. Frankly for that difference in price I'd rather pay the extra bit just to have a 'new' car. You might just be better off looking at trades. Or losing less money on gas than you'll lose on a trade. But hey, it's not my finances.

Okay now I'm pissed. Is anyone who posted in this thread interested in buying a car? If not stay out of the thread please. As to the questions and statements made about the car.-go ahead and buy the similarly equipped car for $17000.00? WHAT CAR ARE YOU LOOKING AT????? This vehicle BASE price with all CASH thrown at you from GM is $14000.00 plus $3300.00 for 1SB package PLUS $1250.00 for Automatic. That means that the car is $18550.00 PLUS $1700.00 for ADMIN AND FREIGHT PDI bringing the total to 20250 PLUS TAXES with in Canada brings the car to $22882THEN you have to finance at regular bank rates of 9% for montly payment with NOTHING DOWN of $474.99. Go ahead please buy this car..SO if you think buying the car new is going to cost you only a few grand try $10000.00 more. IF you want to get the 0% financing add $2500.00 to theprice I just quoted you and then put down 20% of the pre tax amount in order to qualify.IN OTHER WORDS, I am not trying to fleece anyone and this is the best deal you will get ANYWHERE.If you aren't interested in buying, please refrain from your comments or if you are going to make them RESEARCH THEM.Thanks

If not stay out of the thread please. Those are some pretty nasty words.First off, the fact that you are on a Vibe enthusiast forum, probably 95% of the members already own a Vibe and are not looking for another.Next, (at least in the US) you can get a very similarly optioned Vibe for less than what you are asking. Especially with the GM Red Tag Event and other various promotions that are currently going on.And lastly, if I'm not mistaken, I'm pretty sure that the forum rules state that you need to be a member for at least 3 months and have at least 40 posts in order to post something for sale. Hmm.....Try Craigslist, you may have better luck there.

http://showrooms.canadatrader....tus=0There's the research. While I've posted in this thread with NO intent to buy, I do have a sister-in-law that likes our Vibe and wants to pick up a Vibe or Matrix. I'll be sure to not mention this way. I'd suggest you try autotrader and not berate anybody who calls asking about it. Even if their just tire kickers.I never said that you were trying to fleece anyone. Just suggesting that you might not be taking into account the depreciation that hits the second you drive the car off the lot. Cheers.

In Ohio as in most states we have sales tax. Ohio taxes the same car every time it is sold or resold.Would not someone taking over your payments have to again pay the GST tax in Canada.

i doubt gmac will allow a loan transfer, a lease maybe. gst will be payable on a private sale.

You are 99% better off selling it to a dealer/private party though craigslist or local paper.

buyer still has to pay taxes

Re-registering the car in Ontario means buyer has pay the GST, unless you have factiored the GST as part of the monthly payments.Regardless, this a fair price. Will tell a friend who is looking for a vibe.

To all who have replied. Thank you, regardless of your intent. As to the transfer of finance, I have been informed by GMAC that it is in fact possible and that it doesn't involve any tax whatsoever. I have also been advised that I will be out of pocket about $900.00 for the hassle of transferring. All of that being said here it is in a nutshell. The price of the car being sold is 352/mth for 58months at 0% financingAs to the depreciation on the car. Yes there is depreciation. However I believe that through the $3100.00 down payment and the $700.00 in payments i have made PLUS the $400.00 or so for the winter tires and the $150.00 or so for the all weather floor mats more than covers any depreciation.I have had loads of positive response and expect that most people will realize what a GREAT deal this car truly is.Cheers

I should add that if you are local and want to finance the car yourself I will sell it for $16000.00 plus both taxes as a dealer would be handling the details. Works out to $18080 taxes in or $366 per month over 60 months at 8% financing. Price is firm.CheersOf course with a down payment of $2000.00 your payment would drop to $326.00 per month. Still a great deal.
