http://editorial.autos.msn.com...age=1MSN article for the top 10 overall cheapest cars. We are on the top of the second page. They didn't give them a numerical order so I'm unsure of their sorting method, but nonetheless, the Vibe makes it on there!!Oh yeah, the Matrix doesn't!!

I think the Vibe is the best looking car. The Versa is flat out fugly.

They may be cheap, but there's only two I'd ever be caught driving. The SX4 (whatever their top tier model is). The other selection is probably pretty obvious. I don't mind the exterior of the versa, but the interiors have such a 'cheap' feel.

Corolla is on that list too, the new 2009 is quite nice.

Sort is obviously alphabetical - and it is total cost to own, not purchase price. I did not know that the Corolla engine is a 1.4L. Is that a mistake?

Glad to see the Corolla made the list with the Vibe. The wifey and I think the 'rolla is a remarkable car for the price. More zip than our Vibe and very quiet.

I calculated the cost to own my 2004 Vibe from the time I drove it off the lot until I traded it in. Grand total:$1968 per year! (not including fuel)A current accounting rule of thumb is that a cost of $2500 / year or less is a very good value for a car.

I am aiming to be under $100 a month on my 2003 - I'll post # when I get it sold..

The '09 I bought in Jan. may do better as I only paid $13,314 out the door for that one. [Thanks to GM Card $3,000 in '09. $2,003 in 2003.]

Cool, the Vibe is the best car on there. Its practically a Corolla & looks better. I wouldnt mind driving the Fit, I like the redsign as well as the XB.
