Wow, that's really cheap. So much for resale value all the older models.

It's so low I am skeptical. The "sticker" shown on their website doesn't even make sense. AC is a $950 option; AT a $850 option. That totals $1,800 not $1,310. The $585 destination indicates it's been around awhile. * VIBE 1.8L * 1.8L DOHC VVT-I ENGINE * TRANSMISSION, 4 SPEED AUTOMATIC * Ultra White Exterior * Ebony InteriorMANUFACTURER'S SUGGESTED RETAIL PRICE $17,995.00STANDARD VEHICLE PRICE $16,100.00Options installed by Manufacturer REAR CARGO COVERAIR CONDITIONING W/ REAR AIR DUCTSAM/FM STEREO CD PLAYER W/ MP3 FORMAT & AUX INPUT (REPLACES STD/OPT RADIO)TRANSMISSION, 4 SPEED AUTOMATICTOTAL OPTIONS $1,310.00TOTAL VEHICLE & OPTIONS $17,410.00DESTINATION CHARGE $585.00TOTAL VEHICLE PRICE*** $17,995.00

It says 2009 - and the base of $16,100 is consistent with that. The VIN is 5Y2SP67869Z453261They have several 1.8L with a/c, power pkg, and AT; MSRP $19,480. In the unlikely event they were selling those at -3,300 - 500, net $15,680, I might be motivated especially since I have about $2,000 GM Card incentive. That would get it down to what I paid for my identically equipped 2003. However having recently retired and looking at a big decline in interest/dividends for 2009 due to the feds dropping the rates to bail out the rich bankers I think I am content to keep my 2003 that only has 32,000 miles.

Crap, that's cheap! That's about all I would pay for a basic Vibe without the power stuff, tis a fair price. Now, if only they were doing a $5,000 over KBB trade-in allowance promo in addition, I'd be tempted to drive up and check it out.

The way to get $5,000 over what the dealer offers you is to sell it yourself.Case in point. 18 mo. ago dlr offered $7,000 trade in for my 2004 T&C; I sold it for $11,500.

Before I purchased my Vibe earlier this week, I was actually waiting to see if a few owners here were ever going to sell their Vibe's. Such as you as I would of made an offer.

I got a 2.4L 2009, almost fully loaded. I got about $8000 in trade ($7,850) for a 2004 with 58k on it. Out the door price with all the incentives, tax/title, etc. before the trade was almost exactly 20k.My trade was stickered for $11,990 and sold within about 2 weeks.

I would recommend them first among the ones I've visited.

If you can do it (state rules may have something to do with the decision), always sell your car. Never trade. Ever. Unless the car is not well maintained and looks the part, you will always end up with more money in your pocket. Take the trouble to detail your car, then go see what it would be selling for at local dealerships and undercut the average going price by a reasonable amount. I usually take $500 to $1000 off the local prices and have always sold fairly quickly... ending up thousands ahead in the process, compared to trad-in. The dealer will always come out ahead if you 'Trade In'.

I just bought an Carbon Grey 09 automatic base (1.8) with 1sb package, roof rack, satelite and mp3 for $19,650 with both taxes in. MSRP was $22,775.00. I thought that looked like a good deal! Well at least it was better than other quotes I was getting. I'll be a bit miffed if prices really dive!!

When I sold my 2004 T&C for 11,500 I was able to show that the typical CarMax price was about $13,500-14,000 for one with similar miles. CarMax offered me $9,000 to buy outright. That was $2,000 more than the dealer. Of course the dealer offer was actually worth $7,472.50 because I would have saved $472,50 in sales tax by trading it in. Another dealer advantage obtained via political contributions. Did I ever mention that I think Ohio legislators are a bunch of low life crooks?

Bailout Discount? Why can't I find any information about a Bailout Discount anywhere else (besides your post)? If GM is offering $3300 in additional discounts beyond the $500 rebate, I'd say this is a good deal. If I were looking to buy, I'd seriously consider the Astra right now due to pricing, but your offer sounds even better.

I have never seen anything that low anywhere else either. They might just want to get rid of that particular car - perhaps it got dropped off the transport. The Astra prices advertised locally have been up and down.
