To all my Canadian bretherin': thanks for exporting Bill Shatner, Shania Twain, BTO, and a whole lot more:
http://www.canadians.ca/Today, I got all 5 years of the canadian show Corner Gas. For those of you don't know what this is, shame on you. It is only the funniest TV show (for the past 5 years) and is now in its 6th season. I might even have to take a road trip up in the Vibe to go see Dog River (Rouleau) before the last season ends.

I drive past Rouleau every time I take a road trip to visit the parents. Never stopped in though as neither of the cars see gravel roads. How far away are you from there? I don't get it. People get so many things for christmas. I got like... nothing. Haha, not being ignorant, I just don't understand how people get so much. I am just happy to be with my family and spend time with them. My parents only spent 250 on me. I could care less if it was more or less.Edit: And no, its not a financial situation in my family. They make more than enough money to be able to get me anything I want pretty much. We just don't see the point in getting tons of presents.

I know that's how it always should be, but sometimes you get wrapped up in all the stuff, you almost forget why you're buying it/getting it in the first place. One of the upsides to a down economy

They make more than enough money to be able to get me anything I want pretty much. We just don't see the point in getting tons of presents.neither Phil or I ever got much for Christmas growing up. I didn't really care because it wasn't a contest. Now that we're older and can afford it, I enjoy giving my friends and family gifts. Always been fun for me. I enjoy giving more than receiving, and watching someone else (that I care for) get something they like or wanted means more to me than physical items. Granted, we have our ups and downs financially, however if we really want something we can buy it. I feel blessed for being at this point now when only 4 or 5 years ago, it was not the case. To be able to share that with those we love is an awesome gift in itself. Christmas is just the excuse I use to go buy a bunch crap for all our friends and family. and this year, with the economy in the slump, it made me very happy to give back to my family (and Phil's) so they had gifts to open at Christmas.

When you are a real young child, then lots of toys and etc is what it is about. I made out with:1. Chapstick; yes chapstick!2. Some candy3. Shirt and pair of shirts for working out at the Gym4. 2 portraits of Osgood; 1 making the final save against Hossa in the SCF and making a save in the 08 All Star Game5. 2 Wii games (Bash Brothers Brawl and MiniGolf6. Mail organizer We barely play our Wii due to being so busy with our lives and the the pictures are for the man-cave which is still in progress. Still trying to get my hands on stretched prints of the original 6 arenas.
