Armor Plating the Vibe...

Before anyone gets too in depth with this, I am not actually armor plating a Pontiac Vibe!
http://www.texasarmoring.com/armoring_levels.htmlSo ya, I am going to pay a ton of money to get the Level IV protection. You know, people try to shoot me all the time when I'm driving... Especially with armor piercing bullets. They can't wait for me to get out of the car.... So, I am going to armor plate the vibe. Bulletproof glass, doors, hood, radiator, gas tank, tires that wont go flat.... You know, the whole 9 yards... You never know man...*discus!*

I've heard on the news on how a growing number of people involved in the illicit drug trade are armoring their cars now a days.

that is incredibly heavy. nearly(and someties more than) doubling the weight of the vehicle. You'd have to beef up the suspension like you wouldnt believe. But im in. lol. you need any help lemme know.p.s. jk i know youre not really ding it. it would be different though

(see death race recently?? xD )heh, armor plating? just because you have stronger doors and windows doesn't mean you are safe. you still need to place weapons on the car. i think a good weapon would be to remove the back seats and cargo area and take the top and make it able to open and close. when it is open a rocket pod deploys and is put into firing position. maybe some deployable knives on the rims, or out the back some mines. and if you can maybe up front a launcher for red turtle shells.

Not the same, but for years now, i've kicked around the idea of either Line-x'ing or Rhyno;ing the complete inside and out of a car.. a complete encapsulation... Rhyno is used on millitary vehicals these day as a blast protection... it's also used on the floors of race cars for the same reason, they are just more worried about tranny parts than IED's though...

Is this in response to those kids who were waiting for you and retaliation from you beating your g/f?

It may impact your fuel efficiency, too. Can they use Kevlar jackets now for the lower levels of protection?

I've been to the place that does all this work, it's pretty cool to see :DI'm pretty sure if a vibe ever had this kind of stuff done to it, either the trans or engine would die from the extra weight.
