Hello, can anyone tell me if there is a way to change the backlight color of the AC and other nearby controls on a 2005 Vibe? I am interested in putting an aftermarket radio in the car, but it only comes in blue lights for the HU. I would like the center dash lights to match if possible. Thanks

Is there a different HU you would consider?

It is a Pioneer FH-P800BT. It is a double DIN receiver with iPod control and bluetooth that my son would really like to put in his '05 Vibe as a Christmas present. The HU display is a blue LCD that cannot be changed. Changing the dash lights isn't a must, but I don't know how strange it might look with blue over red in the dash.

Pretty nice HU it seems. Would it be considered a lot of blue?

You could get the blue HU and then change the dash lights colour. amishbuggy did it. Here's the link:

Well.I purchased and installed this HU in the 2008 Frosty the other day. Good reception and nice HU, the Blue Tooth is may take some tweaking. I have asked about the quality of the sound and the recipient on the other end said I sounded "tinny" or "hollow." I put a call in and waiting for a phone call from a Pioneer Rep to meet with me in person sometime this month to trouble shoot. The display is nice and not too bright at night as it is hooked up to the dimmer. Not sure if I swill switch to the blue cluster or not. Will try to take some pictures over the weekend of the HU at night. Also, will post some pictures of the Husky Liners.

I have the Pioneer AVIC F700BT and that's exactly how the other person describes the quality, as they did with the JVC AVX44 I had before it, it's part of what happens when you put a mic in a car, esp one like the vibe with a lot of road noise. However even with all that, I love it, and it's a lot safer then holding your phone or fussing with a headset.Diane

He was out of town at the Consumer Electronics Show or something like that an will get back to me next week. He did state that he would work with me on the quality and try to figure out a solution. Decent customer service from Pioneer, actually calling and seeing how things are going. The iPod controls are fabulous!
