it never goes above "almost half" on the gauge and when it's cold like this (12f) it takes forever to warm up in the city, seems to get to "almost half" pretty quick on the highway though (most of my commute is city)anyone have a picture of their fully warm needle position?

Our '05 temp gauge runs just below 1/2 with plenty of heat. Have you checked the coolant level and the heater door operation?????

Normal. Happens on our Vibe and also on a friend's 2003 Corolla.

on the water temp icon it has 3 hashes on the thermometer then two wavy "water lines" below that, on mine the needle at it's highest position is below the 3 hashes but resting on the upper of the two squiggly lines definitely isn't making the cabin "hot" in 15 degree weather, i just leave it CRANKED
