We froze our arses off in the cold yesterday for winter rallyx. the coldest day of the winter so far, and of course it's when we are outside from 7:30 am until 5 pm! Anyways, I let my friend co-drive my 08 STI with me. He is an awesome driver, however he had a rough time (as did my car). Probably have about $1200 in damage between the fog lights, inner fender linings and front bumper.Lots of cars at the event from Ford Explorer to an Acura Integra. Of course lots and lots of subies (all makes and models). We also had Alaska HDTV there recording the day. Hope it all turns out. PhilThe last time Phil saw his Front Lip intact ON the carat least his front end didn't look like this:

Your Subarus are very expensive snowplows! Does Mav get a discount on bodywork at the dealership?Looks like you had a great time.

they don't have a body shop. not too terribly worried about it. fog lights will really be what needs replacing as well as the inner fender lining. what I really need is full body armor that covers that area vs just the skid plate. Plus, it helps keep all the road gunk out of the engine bay. also, keep in mind, I bought my 08 STI because it was a rally car with a hatch. now that my front bumper is messed up, i won't worry so much about it for the next event on Jan 3. And my buddy has to let me co-drive his sweet 09 GTR at an autox event. :D

WOW thats one of my favorie sports. me and a couple buddies set something like that up in a huge parkinglot on christmas day one year. we had a blast. I cant wait to do it again with the vibe. only this year were dousing the lot with buckets of cold water the night before

yeah the damage wasn't so fun. because of it, I crawled around the course after my front lip broke off With the damage done to Hope's car, she couldn't have made it worse so she got a pretty good time out there. Came in 4th in modified all wheel. I think I came in 4th from the back of the pack LOLI have some footage from my car. Nothing great. Unfortunatly my in car footage washed out outside the car so you can't see anything out there.

I decided before the event to just go out and do my best. I wasn't going to win anything since my first run was relatively slow, but because I stayed on course and didn't get stuck, I managed to do pretty good. I'll try and upload one of the other vids little later.

ya, read that. lame! however, looks like they are trying to get back in, but with the new regs they are implementing for '10 season, they have to make another car. http://legacygt.com/forums/showthread.php?t=102056
