Im looking for some ideas to fabricate a stand to set a 15.4" laptop on in the center of the rear console for the kids to be able to watch movies. I was thinking of maybe using the seat bolts to attach a frame of sorts, or perhaps modifying the console. I am sure other folks have done something similar so hoping to get an idea of how to approach this. Access to the cupholders is a non-issue, but I am unable to fold down the front seat and I doubt it would be safe for the kids to hang one of those hanging shelves on the back of a seat. Thanks for any help.

wow, 3 whole posts since 05' LoLWhat sort of fab skills do you have, cause I have a great idea.. 1/2" square tube, make 2 "feet" that you could mount under the rear seat bolts for the front seats.. Then have a 4" stub of 1/2' square sticking up, but make it a reciever of sorts, with a hole drilled through about 1/2' below the cut... Then run something smaller that would slip into each stub, and slip a pin through it, to lock it into place.. Run more 1/2" square up to a "tray" of sorts that would hold the laptop in such a way that it wouldn't move around in the tray.. Just bigger than the laptop and maube 3/4" deepTHEN, have 2 more 'legs" come off the tray and down to the front of the back seat... those legs could attach to a thinner, like 1/8" steel plate, say 3"x6" that would slip between the floor and the seat.. So, you would take the 4 legged contraption, slip the thin part, between the rear seat and floor (the hump in the center) and then the longer legs would slip into the recievers you mounted already to the seat brackets of the front seats, then you slip the pins in to lock in place.. done.. Make sense?
