So a while ago, a guy came into the subaru dealership I work at and has us install a turbo back Harman Motive exhaust system on his 08 STi. Its renamed basically as the muffer is Magnaflow. Anyway he ended up trading in the car a couple months later and I knew the guy who bought the car. He sold me the exhaust in exchange for the stock one as he wanted something alittle quieter. He also kept his down pipe cause it was catted and Hope's is custom made catless. Both cars, her 08 STi (white one) and my friend Chris's 08 STi (the blue one)The duel tip muffler (left side)The underside of Hope's stock muffler. This thing is huge. The underside of Chris's Harman Motive exhaust.External view of both once I had them off.Perrin was also having a sale on exhaust systems. I had my heart set on a COBB catback because the muffler shape and tip look identical to stock. But couldn't beat the price Perrin had theirs on sale for so Hope got me one for my 07 STiThe stock 07 STi muffler/tipSide by side, Perrin vs stockAnd a sound clip of the exhaust. Not the best quality but you get the idea. Engine was cold so you'll notice at the beginning of the video, the idle was higher. At the end of the video, idle was lower. Also because the engine was cold, I didn't rev it much above 2500rpm. Also has a nice little pop to to it due to my downpipe is a invidia catless 3" downpipe.

Nice looking exhaust there Mavrik. I am digging the "awd eh" plate, nice tribute to your Canadian roots. Yeah, that is a lot of piping for sure. What is the purpose for Subaru designing them like that and with those valves or whatever they are called inside the muffler? More back pressure?

The exhaust design is very similar to my SVX, too bad they don't fit. The only bolt on available is a Stebro system worth about 4 times what I paid for the whole car.

Well they put baffles and resonators into the exhaust to help quiet the exhaust down a bit. I'm not sure about the backpressure since I don't have much now that I'm catless lolyeah most people get the "awd eh" and then some ask "whats odd uh" mean?
