Cop Turn

Has anyone, personally or known of someone, done the reverse cop turn like in the movies? Most know what I'm talking about, but for those that do not; When you go in reverse, cut the wheel really sharp, do a 180 and floor it forward. I have always wanted to and probably had a car that could have done it, just never had the stones.

haha, yeah in YOUR car, that would be very, very bad. I had a 93 Z28 with lowering springs that took the low center of gravity even lower, but never had a good place and never had the stones to try

I did it in a gravel parking lot with my first car, a '79 Buick Century wagon. It was RWD, so it wasn't impossible to do, though it did bounce a lot. I didn't do the "floor it forward" because the trans was a bit slow to shift from R to D, and I didn't want to dump it. I simply shifted, let it catch, then moved forward after the dust cloud cleared.

used to do it semi frequently in my first car. fwd 1994 sunbird. any car can do it, it just depends on speed, road conditions, and amount of driver control. if you mess up it can end badly.p.s. the deck shifter makes it 100% easier than cars with the column shifter.
