I'm sure cost is a factor and most won't justify the cost to have a set. But, I won't rule it out just yet

If anyone is interested in a set. INTREST ONLY AT THIS TIME!No money needed. I am testing these before selling them.I have been asked to post names on the Matrix owners list but it would simply easier to start a new list here.So if you are interested. At this time no one will be required to buy. Simply copy the list and add your name to the list.IF YOU HAVE ALREADY ADDED YOUR NAME TO THE MATRIX LIST NO NEED TO POST IT HERE AGAIN:)1.2.3.....

If this works out well for you would you be interested in doing them for Gen 2 Vibes? picking up my 09 in a couple days and I would be interested... also be interesting to see what the cost will be. Let us know I am sure there are other 09 drivers out there that would be interestedthanks

the problem with the 09's the headlight availablity, and cost. Its not that i wouldn't do them. It's a cost factor.example... here is ONE headlamp for the 09 on ebay USEDhttp://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors...wItemIf i was to do a set for the 03-08 members they could buy spair headlights easy, or they could use my spair(with a deposit) then send me their current headlights. Then there would be no down time.

that's the same one i found on ebay...kind of hard finding a spare set since the 09's are still new i guess. i've called a few junk yards and none has any 09 vibes. i'm looking to buy a set so i can send to my friend to retrofit some tsx projectors for me...i already got the projectors just need headlights now =/

the tsx projectors are nice and ok for the 09's because of the single beam.I was going to use the fx35 bi-xenon projectors, till the price jumped. I know this kit would be frowned upon by the guys who use factory projectors riped from other cars but, after i started pricing out everything and the time and energy needed to make brackets and the wire harness to aline a custom projector and to complete everything, I though this could be a good way for the not so eager members to acheive the same thing and still use the factory adjusters to get almost as good results. I was in the 500dollar range just in parts for the fx projectors. At half the cost i was willing to give them a try. I didn't buy mine from the ebay guy. I am working directly with the factory that is making the kits.

on my accord i've went thru about 6-7 different retrofits using different kinds of projectors (s2k, tsx, e46, e55, and ece valeos) but i ended up with tsx again...good output and isn't too insanely expensive...s2k projectors cost me almost $300 back then lol it's an expensive hobby but it's kind of fun and well worth it having great output at night. i loved tsx projectors so much i used them on my previous car too (maxima) but that one didn't cost me too much since i just used the stock hid ballasts that came with the car, only had to change to d2r bulbs since my maxima uses d2s. depending on how much i can get the stock 09 headlights, hopefully this project won't cost me over $700 =/i think if i were to use bixenon projectors i would choose the TL ones. output is far better than the tsx. there was a side by side comparison between the tl and different projectors on hidplanet and the TL's had more light output than the tsx and whatever other projectors they compared it to. this is exciting! i told myself i would not mod the vibe till it's fully paid off but i can't stand halogens lol btw here's a link to my old cardomain page if you want to see some of my old setups =Phttp://

It's sad but true. Wish it wasn't. But the few really active members who are in to modding their vibe are also members on MO and those have already put their name on the list over there.side noteIT'S at JFK... should see my sample kit any day now.

Did you follow the link to Matrix owners? if so, the kit is a projector retrofit. It's an aftermarket projector that is installed in the current headlamp's reflector bowl. To install the kit the headlight needs to be opened up.I have a sample kit on the way. I will report on the quality of the kit.If the kit is up to par, I plan on running a group buy on Matrix Owners. Genvibe don't run group buys, so If anyone was interested in a set, when i post the link to the group buy just post in that thread that you wanted a set.For the faint of heart about opening up their headlamps, I was planing on offering my services and a spair set of headlamps. The cost would be more of course.HAHAI would send you a spare set of headlamps, you would send me yours. Then there would be no down time for you. I could only do one set at a time. So those who would want me to do it the pricing would be around 500 dollars.I should be posting about the kit by the end of this weekend .The kit pricing is looking like it will be in the 225-235dollar range shipped to the usa/canada.I am still working out the details of the group buy and pricing with my contacts.

more teaser shotsi got a red angel eyeits very simple to get to this point, everything is labeled, and there are alinement rings so putting the projector in to the housing the correct way.The only other thing that this kit doesn't have that you WILL need is a length of wire to wire up the angel eyes, if you want them to work, I plan on wiring mine to a switch, other wise you will need to wire them to your parking lights. They will not turn on with out doing this. They are wired seperate from the HID kit.

WOW!!!!You should connect the halo eye to the DRl mode so they would be on with the parking instead of the headlights.....Looks sweet as of now!

you can wire then directly to the parking lights if you like, but don't come bugging me if you get pulled over by a cop HAHAHA

Quote, originally posted by Tonyk27 »I have Hid's already can the kit come with out Hid's? If so will the stock h4 bulbs work?no you need a ds2 bulb with this kit, in order to get the high and low beam it uses a survo motor to drop the cut off shield out of the way.Others have asked this very question, if they could get the kit with out the ballasts, honestly the cost of the ballast is minimum. It wouldn't knock much off the price about 20 bucks or so.

Novus plastic polish is a great on for that... I used to do the edges of plexi with it for audio systems... would polish up to water clear with it and some elbow grease..
