bad starter?

gf mentioned when trying to start the vibe the other day it "took longer" and "something was wrong"i started it this morning and noticed while it cranked normal and took the normal amount of time, when the engine started it sounded like the starter hadn't disengaged in timeanyone else had this issue? starters are stupid expensive
