I was told yesterday by Advance Auto and Autozone that they don't carry and that they will be dealer part, but the dealer didn't have them either.I know the driver's side blade is pretty long (26") but what's so difficult about getting them

Are winter blades really necessary on the 09? There is a huge plastic cover on the blades so I'm wondering if winter ones will change much over the original ones. The problem with summer blades is that the arms are exposed and prone to ice but with the 09's cover on them, they are no more exposed than they are on a winter blade. I was not planing to buy winter ones.

the 09 wipers aren't like the regular ones with the external metal frames...it's the flexible rubber ones and it works better than the metal frame ones. you should be fine with your wipers.

the problem with out blades is the gaps in them, which allow ice/snow to build up there and preventing even pressure on the glass, we need them here, and im having a b-ach of a time finding them too

Get the, err, new kind of blades. just one single curved piece, no little arms or anything, I like them a LOT more than even the winter blades. And actually, on our Vibe with the winter blades we got they seemed to catch the wind and just suck (removed) above about 65mph on the highway.

At highway speeds they are like a sail on a yacht ! Defroster on Medium, Winter Orange Rain-X in the Reservoir, make sure not to run the wiper blades over frost/ice particles. Key is to clear the windshield before using turning on the Wiper's!
