Want to buy 09 vibe and take advantage of $2,500 cash rebate for extended term finance (72 month+), which is listed in carcostcanada report. Has anybody used this kind of incentive before? Want to know the details like max down payment (the more the merrier), rate, how quick we can pay off the debit (as quick as possible). This offer ends Oct 31.

Best way to get your answer would probably be a quick trip to the dealer.

The $2500 (It's $3,000 if you get a 2.4l engine) is if you do long term outside financing through your bank etc. So the terms are up to the bank, not GM. All they want is confirmation that you're financing this (you can't just take the discount and pay cash, I checked). This is there way of encouraging you not to take their 0% purchase financing I guess. If you look in the long term with what you'll pay in interest, the 0% offer currently on the table will save you money overall (but your monthly payments will probably be more because of the longer term).

Some dealers said you can pay off the rest after the 1st month.

I was told that by law you can pay off after 60 days. You can try paying off after 30 days but no guarantee there will not be any penalties.
