I have my Camcon in my glove box and while I was driving today I thought I would take a look at it to see how it was doing and to my surprise the numbers showing the rpm were not displaying. All that lights up are the background lights for the buttons. So I tried to see if I could turn it off after I was stopped and it would not even turn off. It does nothing. I tried unplugging it and tapped on it, plugged it back in and still nothing. then I unplugged it and tried starting my car but it would not start. So as long as I keep it plugged in it starts and runs like normal. I'm uninstalling it tomorrow so it doesn't try to do anything bad to my ECU or engine. I'll be contacting Power Enterprise USA on Monday to see if there is anything they can do to help as far as a possible replacement. I bought it from Satur9 for only $35 shipped so I can't complain. I'm just hoping that PE will help me out even though I didn't buy it new from an authorized reseller. I'm hoping that Satur9 sees this and can let me know if he ever had any issues with it at all. No worries, I'm just a little bummed about it.

that sucks buddy... i feel bad because i pointed you in his direction not that 9 did anything wrong it was working when you got it... i was just saying i hope you enjoyed it while it was working LOL

I appreciate your help in locating one. I am not blaming you or Phillip. I was very fortunate to have been able to get such a good deal on it. I kinda had a feeling in the back of my mind that there might have been something wrong with it but hoped it would not become apparent. I'm just curious if it ever acted up while Phillip was using it. I did enjoy it while I was able to use it. If I am not able to get it replaced, I may look for another one or maybe wait for someone to sell a used Unichip Q. hopefully I will know more on Monday.

Yanked it out today. I'll know tomorrow if I can get a replacement.

i far as i can tell there was nothing wrong with it other than sitting in the back of my car a very long time. im interested to see what pe says. i got it from monkeywrench mabey they know if theyve seen that happen before.did it get bump around mabey and entered into setting mode or mabey the display went out(short). on or off i could always start my car so thats wierd.if i knew it was ever acting funny on me i wouldnt even have sold it for such a low price.

If I don't hear back from PE, I'll contact Matt @ MWR to see what he has to say.

I talked to Hideo at PE USA out in California and he is going to talk to the parent company in Japan to see they will OK a replacement. He said he would let me know tomorrow.

Well, I called Hideo this afternoon and he talked to hid people in Japan (probably not but I gave him the benefit of the doubt). He said they would not replace the Camcon. He sounded genuinely sorry that he could not help me. then I tlka him that I have head of a couple people on NewCelica.org that have had issues with theirs and had them replaced under their year long manufacturer warranty (which is true, btw). He was surprised that others have had issues with theirs and asked if I would be willing to send mine to them for diagnostic testing to see if it was something they could fix. So there may still be hope. Hideo is a great guy!

Well, I ended up shipping it on Wednesday and the got it yesterday, looked at it, and determined that there was an electrical spike that caused it to short out. not sure how that is possible with having a good grounding kit and a voltage regulator...so the saga ends in defeat...win some..lose some. it is my turn to lose some since I won on getting it so cheap...lol.BC=0World=1

. after vitrtualy not driving my car all summer (motorcycle)the car wouldnt start. so i had to jump it.(i have ground wires and voltage regulator too). anyway im driving along and i just look up and notice fuel pressure guage going crazy. and the car is runing fine. after checking with a mehanical gauge in the garage.i think the jumpstart fried 1 out of 3 guages(not including scanguage and wideband) the egt nos press. still work. so world=2. did you jumpstart the car recently.

Not at all. All I have done since I have had the Camcon is lower it, put gas in it and drive it. That sucks about your gauge. Jumping the car would probably produce a spike...

hmm that sucks dude. I guess you'll have to do without it. I'm sure you'll be able to find something else to do to it. Never lose hope

I'm sure it was, but I wouldnt know...dang Unichip lol What plans do you have for your vibe in the future?
