Hey guys,Bought some Armor All cleaing wipes to clean the dash and plastic of my 2009 Vibe, and it left some "spots" on the dashboard? Hard to explain, but it looks like water stains or something. Is there another product I should use to clean the interior of the 09 Vibe? I'm not too up on detailing products, but I'd like to take good care of my baby. Any advice will be appreciated!Thanks!Scott

The dealership used those on my car as well and they left a residue everywhere. Gross! So guys/gals, what product should we be using?

i usually just use a wet cloth and seems ok...no spots and stuff.

I used the armour all wipes too this summer and I'm not using them again. Wet cloth only.

Okay...any kind of cloth in particular?

I used the armour all spray and a t-shirt on an '09. The bottle says shake well and use liberally. You have to put a good coat on and wipe off excess and it comes out pretty nice.

I'm going to get the xzilion applied inside and out for $400. I was told by many that it was a steal at that price (or close to cost as it were). Thoughts?

I use the California Dash Duster http://calcarduster.com/dashduster.asp for the light stuff, for stains and other dirt, I use Simple Green in a 20:1 dilution and a microfiber cloth.

If I had access to a digital camera and a new 2009 Vibe I would do a write up, sadly I do not yet. Some new information or thread related material with pictures to the 2009 Vibe would be very beneficial to the site and you do seem to be very involved!

Don't use Armorall products anywhere near your dash board, ESPECIALLY in winter. They have an airborne oily type property to them. Most body shops wont let them inside the facility because of it. If you use it within like 100 feet of a car that's drying after just being painted, it can cause the paint to orange peel.Also, when the weather changes, that same oily stuff causes your windshield to fog up hardcore when it normally wouldn't. You can use the wipes and stuff on the doors and counsel, just do not use it on the dash board.Normally after I was my car by hand, I use the same micro fiber cloth I used on the car, to wipe down the dashboard. That way I can be sure all the lint and dust has been washed off the rag and there is still a small amount of soap and water on the rag also to help get the tough dust off. You can keep a small paint brush or horse hair brush in the center counsel to use on the buttons and radio and gauges to get the dust out of the cracks. It works great and it helps pass time while sitting at traffic lights BTW the California Duster is probably one of my favorite tools. I've never used it on the dash before but it works WONDERFULLY on the exterior to get off the dust that accumulates overnight and while driving. Plus it's only like $15-$20 or something

HA me too. I was using the wipes and I couldn't figure out what the heck was with the window fogging, even in the warmer weather it still fogged for no reason lol.I thought that was interesting about the paint shops though. My friend was a painter at Collex and he told me about that.

i USE MEQUIARS QUICK INTERIOR DETAILER ON MY PORSCHE AND IT CLEANS WITH NO SHINE OR GREASY LOOK/FEEL. i USE A MICROFIBRE CLOTH. GOOD LUCK!
