Reset for change oil indicator

My '09 Vibe, with 2.4 L engine and AWD, owners manual states that an indicator light will come on when the system computer determines that it's time to change oil ... based on various driving conditions it has recorded. I've got a little over 6,000 miles on it ... changed the oil once and expect the indicator light to come 'on' one of these days. Anyone know how to reset this when it does light up?Al

I'm assuming it will be something like on my old trailblazer. If the info is not in the owner's manual then try:Make sure the car is off. Turn the car on (not started, but "on") and IMMEDIATELY hit the gas pedal three times. I know it sounds pretty stupid, but that's how you do it. You may not get it the first time, so you may have to turn the car off, then on again.if that doesn't work, I'm out of ideas.mike

Hold down the odometer reset button, turn the key to the on position(don't start the car) and hold it until the lines are gone..You will automatically see a few lines in the odometer that will start to go away. Once all the lines are gone, the counter has been reset.Since the Vibe is Toyota based technology, the typical steps above should work. Report back and verify if it works or not.
